Women's Soccer - Goalkeeper

Celine Grothe, Pearl River Community College

Alliance University transfer Celine Grothe earned a clean sheet after turning away seven shots in a 1-0 victory over Southwest.

Women's Soccer - Offense

Vanessa Baugatz, Itawamba Community College
(FR, F - Schorfheide, DE, 12)

Freshman Vanessa Baugatz continued her outstanding start to the season for the undefeated Lady Indians. The freshman scored 3 goals and had 2 assists in a 14-0 road win at Andrew College. She followed up that performance with 2 goals and 1 assist in the Lady Indians' 4-1 win at Southern Union.

Men's Soccer - Goalkeeper

Loan Marin, Southwest Mississippi Community College
(So., GK - Lyon, France, 1)

Marin came up huge for the Bears this week. The Lyon, France-native and reigning MACCC Goalkeeper of the Week, kept up his stellar play, logging a 90 minute, 7-save shutout of No. 20 Pearl River in a 2-0 win.

Men's Soccer - Offense

Kade Smith, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(Fr, FWD - London, England, 11)

Kade Smith, a freshman forward from London, England, had three goals and an assist in a 1-0-1 week for Mississippi Gulf Coast. He had the Bulldogs first two goals in a 3-3 tie at No. 5 Jones, then had a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Andrew College

The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC)  is one of the premier community college conferences in the country and ranks among the elite in the nation in terms of alumni on professional sports teams. 

Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer and tennis.  

Women's competition is offered in the sports of basketball, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.
