NJCAA Announces 2023-2024 Academic Teams of the Year
Charlotte, NC - The NJCAA has announced the 2023-24 Academic Teams of the Year. NJCAA student-athletes continued to excel in the classroom as 1,194 teams earned at least a 3.0 GPA or better.
30 programs from across the country earned NJCAA Academic Team of the Year honors after achieving the highest GPA in their respective sport throughout the academic year.
Ten programs emerged as repeat winners from the 2022-23 academic year: Paris (TX) Baseball, Oxford Emory (GA) Men's Basketball, Odessa (TX) Women's Golf, Monroe College (NY) Indoor Men's Track and Field, Anne Arundel (MD) Women's Lacrosse, Monroe College (NY) Outdoor Track & Field, Trinity Valley (TX) Softball, Southwestern Oregon Men's Swimming & Diving, Monroe College (NY) Men's Volleyball, and Pratt (KS) Men's Wrestling.
The Odessa (TX) women's golf team earned the highest overall GPA in the NJCAA with a 3.92 mark. Four NJCAA member colleges earned multiple team champion awards including Copiah Lincoln (MS), Monroe College (NY), Oxford Emory (GA), Spartanburg Methodist (SC).

The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) is one of the premier community college conferences in the country and ranks among the elite in the nation in terms of alumni on professional sports teams.
Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer and tennis.
Women's competition is offered in the sports of basketball, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.
