
Bio
Tyler Moore is a native of Brandon, MS, and a 2005 graduate of
Northwest Rankin High School. While at Northwest Rankin Moore
he earned Louisville Slugger All-American and Mississippi Player
of the year honors, while powering his team to the 2005 Class 5A
state championship. Moore was a member of the Clarion Ledger's
Dandy Dozen his senior year.
Moore was a Two-year standout first baseman at Meridian
Community College from 2005-2007. While an Eagle, he earned
NJCAA All-American status and was honored by the ABCA as
the 2007 NJCAA Division II Baseball Player of the Year. Ranked
fourth in the nation with a .472 batting average in 2007, Moore
led the nation with an MCC-record 19 home runs and ranked 10th
nationally with 62 RBIs. He compiled a .989 fielding percentage and committed just five errors at first base.
Moore finished with a school-record 22 doubles and a .927 slugging percentage and helped lead the Eagles to a
41-15 mark. Tyler hit .300 with 49 RBI and 15 home runs as a freshman to help power MCC to a 35-17 record
and the 2006 MACJC state title. As a Freshman, Moore earned All-Region 23, all-district, and all-state honors.
The Washington Nationals drafted Tyler Moore in the 16th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft out
of Mississippi State University. In 2010 Moore was named the Nationals Minor League Player of the Year. He
was added to the 40-man roster in November of 2011, where he spent five seasons with the Nationals. Moore
finished his career as a member of the Miami Marlins in 2017. For his career, Moore batted .227 with 30 home
runs and 121 RBIs.
Moore now lives in Madison, MS, with his wife Whitney and his son Beckham. Tyler now owns and operates
Stadt Nutrition Club in Madison, MS, and is involved in Real Estate Investments.
