
Fulton, Miss. – Itawamba Community College women's soccer saw the season end in heartbreaking fashion as East Central Community College scored late to pick up a 2-1 win.
After a hard fought battle through first 30 minutes of the contest, the Lady Indians (7-9, 3-7 MACCC) suffered some bad luck with East Central taking a 1-0 lead on an own goal.
However, less than a minute later, the Lady Indians would net the equalizer when Camryn Summerall (Brookhaven) beat the keeper off an assist from Brianna Huckaby (Saltillo)
The game remained tied at one through halftime and the second half saw the Lady Indians with several great scoring opportunities, but they were unable to capitalize and the game appeared to be headed to overtime.
With a minute and a half left in regulation, East Central took advantage of the corner kick to score the game winner in the hard-fought contest.
