GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs finished the 2023-24 campaign on a winning note with a 76-66 win over the Hinds Community College Lady Bulldogs and had hopes of making the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament, but they found out after the games Thursday they did not make it due to the Massey rating.
Holmes finished the season 15-12 and 6-8 in the MACCC.
Holmes led 39-32 at halftime and outscored Hinds 37-34 in the second half for the win.
Darranya Wright and Bella Roberts each had 23 points while Kelsey Federick had 10. Wright and Federick both pulled in 10 rebounds
Holmes shot 41.8 percent from the floor in the game.
