Meridian, Miss. – Itawamba Community College women's soccer dropped a 2-0 decision to Meridian in a conference road game Friday.
The Lady Indians (6-4, 2-2 MACCC) fell behind 1-0 at the 12th minute as Meridian scored on a deep shot.
Nine minute into the second half, the Lady Indians had a great scoring chance as Addison Pletzke (Clinton) beta the keeper, but had the ball hit off the bottom of the crossbar, allowing Meridian to clear the ball and end the threat.
The Lady Indians did have a corner opportunity immediately following Pletzke's shot on goal, but were unable to capitalize.
Meridian then took a 2-0 advantage at the 61st minute, and were able to hold off the Lady Indians to pick up the win.
