4 Men’s Basketball players will be honored Thursday

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast will hold its men's basketball Sophomore Night on Thursday when Southwest Mississippi visits Dantzler Arena, but the Bulldogs will also be trying to keep moving up the standings for postseason seeding.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Perk. Buy your tickets ahead of time to save money. It costs $7 for adults or $5 for youth online, or $10 and $7 at the gate. Tickets are available at http://mgcccbulldogs.com/tickets, and the game will be streamed at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch.
Jabbari Barry (So., Lake Charles, La./Barbe), Kaue Kalinowski (So., Curitiba, Brazil/Divine Savior), Larry Lee (So., Utica/Raymond) and Thomas Tangle (So., Standing Pine/Choctaw Central) will take part in ceremonies immediately following the women's game.
Gulf Coast is in a three-way tie for seventh, and the Bears are one of those teams. The Bulldogs still have an outside shot at getting into fourth place, which would earn them a bye. Teams that finish fifth through ninth will host an NJCAA Region 23 Tournament first-round game on March 6.
