
Enid, Oklahoma-The Warriors earned a 6-4 victory over South Arkansas Stars in the NJCAA DII World Series.
A fielder's choice by Mo Little put EC Warriors on the board in the top of the first.
Chase Irby tripled, which helped South Arkansas CC tie the game at one in the bottom of the third.
In the top of the sixth, EC Warriors broke up the tie when Marvin Jackson doubled, scoring two runs. Then a single by Langston Cotten followed to extend the lead to 4-1.
Chris Billingsley earned his fifth win of the season. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and three runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking five. Colin Reed took the loss for South Arkansas CC. They went six and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs (one earned) on five hits, striking out six and walking three. Connor Aplin collected the save. Rex Henderson appeared in relief for EC Warriors.
Jackson went 1-for-1 at the plate as they led the team with two runs batted in. Trey Bridges, Cotten, Jackson, Little, Brady McGee, Barret Rodgers, and Cyrus Rone each collected one hit for EC Warriors.
Beau Kuttenkuler went 1-for-5 at the plate as they led the team with two runs batted in. Gabe Kuttenkuler, Irby, Gavin Murphy, Kyle Tolley, Kuttenkuler, and Alton Gatson each collected one hit for South Arkansas CC.
