Lady Bulldogs sweep Lady Lions, 10-1 and 10-3.

SCOOBA --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 4-0 here Tuesday with a doubleheader sweep of the East Mississippi Community College Lady Lions winning 10-1 and 10-3.

Holmes will play in the Mississippi Delta Community College Tournament at Oxford on Friday. Holmes will play Delta at 1 p.m. and Arkansas State University at 3 p.m.

In game one, Kelsie Travis picked up the win in seven innings of work. She gave up one run on six hits with four strikeouts and no walks.

Hailey Lunderman-Ellingburg led the Lady Bulldogs at the plate with five hits including a two-run homerun and a triple. Hallie Billie had two hits including a two-run and a double. Julianna Ingram, Shawanda Gray and Travis each had two hits with Ingram having a solo homerun, Travis having two doubles and Gray adding a solo homerun.

In game two, Sophia Foster picked up the win. She went 3 1/3 innings and gave up one run on five hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Malita Chaffier finished the game with 3 2/3 innings. She gave up two runs on four hits with three walks.

Ellinburg had four hits in game two including two doubles and a triple. Billie and Gray each had two hits with Gray adding a double. Travis and Camm Neathery each had a double in game two.
