Co-Lin opens the season with a 78-75 win
WESSON, Mississippi – The Co-Lin Wolves opened the 2021 season with a 78-75 win over the Delgado Community College Dolphins. The Wolves (1-0) will host rival Southwest Mississippi on Monday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m. in Mullen Gym.
"I thought we played hard throughout the game," said Co-Lin head coach Kenny Bizot. "We did a poor job of executing our offense. We have many things to clean up in practice over the next couple of days. I'm proud of our guys for hanging tough to pull out a win."
Co-Lin led by as many as seven points in the first half, but Delgado rallied to take a 40-38 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Sophomore Demarcus Ellzey led the way for Co-Lin with a team-high 16 points. Freshman Jordan Johnson came off the bench to add 10 points. Adding nine points each were JD Allen and Daniel Smothers.
