GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker here Monday night as Southwest nailed a three-pointer in the final second to pull out the 58-55 win.
Holmes, 7-3, hosts Baton Rouge on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Southwest led 17-14 after one period and 30-24 at halftime. Holmes outscored Southwest, 16-9, in the third before Southwest took the final period, 19-15, to win by three.
Ally Alford and Danielle Luckey each had 14 points for the Lady Bulldogs. McKinna Smith had eight while Amaijah Smith had 7 and Lanie Potter had six. Alford led in rebounds with 10.
