Holmes falls to Gulf Coast, 10-3 and 5-2

PERKINSTON --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs fell twice here Thursday to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, 10-3 and 5-2

Holmes will play at Northwest on Wednesday at 2 p.m. for a MACCC doubleheader.

Elleigh Willis got the start but left the game after one inning. Neera Bel went 1/3 of an inning and suffered the loss. She gave up three runs with three walks and one strikeout. Emmagail Kelley also pitched in the game and went 4 2/3 innings and gave up seven runs on eight hits with three walks and one strikeout. AnnaLeigh Jones and Bell each had a double.

In game two, Kasandra Gaona got the start in game two and went four innings and took the loss. She gave up four runs on eight hits with two strikeouts and two walks. Willis went two innings and gave up one run on three hits with one strikeout. Katelynn Gipson led with two hits including a double. Maycee Knight added a 2-run homerun.
