
Senatobia, Miss. – In a battle of undefeated division records, the Lady Indians suffered their first North Division loss of the season in a hard fought 3-1 decision to No. 13 Northwest.
The Lady Indians (3-3, 2-1 MACCC North) fell behind early on a goal at the sixth minute by the Lady Rangers, but quickly netted the equalizer.
Kirsty MacGregor (Yorkshire, England) beat the keeper on a free kick at the 17th minute to tie the contest at 1-1.
However, Northwest regained the lead two minutes later and extend it to a 3-1 advantage at the 36th minute.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second half, giving the Lady Rangers to 3-1 win.
The Lady Indians will step out of division play when they travel to Dyersburg State (Tenn.) Monday, Sept. 27. Opening kick is scheduled for 4 p.m.
