Raymond, Miss. – After an unscheduled ten day break in the schedule, the Lady Indians jumped back into action Friday night and picked up a 1-0 victory over Hinds to open North Division play.
The first half was a scoreless contest, as was much of the second half, but the Lady Indians (2-2, 1-0 MACCC North) were able to break the scoreless streak to take the 1-0 lead at the 77th minute.
Morgan Mitchell (Amory) netted the game's only goal off an assist from Emma Logan (Fulton). The Lady Indian defense held off the Lady Eagles to secure the victory.
The Lady Indians will play their first home game of the season Tuesday when they host No. 2 East Central. The North Division matchup is scheduled for 2 p.m.
