Lady Bulldogs take two from South Arkansas, 7-0 and 4-1

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 2-2 on the season after picking up two games here Thursday over South Arkansas, 7-0 and 4-1.
Holmes will host Baton Rouge on Tuesday at 2/4 p.m.
In game one, Elleigh Willis got the win. She went six innings and gave up one hit and had two strikeouts and one walk. Neera Bell pitched the final inning and had two strikeouts.
Lanie Phillips had four hits in game one. Bell added a double.
In game two, Emmagail Kelley picked up the win. She went seven innings and gave up four hits and one run with two strikeouts and one walk.
Phillips and Maycee Knight each had two hits with Knight having two doubles and Phillips adding another. LaCristia Edwards, Leah Kinard and Willis each added a double.
Against Baton Rouge on Feb. 3, the Lady Bulldogs fell 7-5 and 11-7 in Baton Rouge.
Willis suffered the loss on the mound giving up seven runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and five walks.
Willis led the Lady Bulldogs with three hits while Phillips and Katelynn Gipson each had two. Willis and Phillips added a double.
In game two, Farve had three hits while Willis, Gipson, Kinard and McKayla Crowley each had two. Kinard had two doubles and Farve had one while Maycee Knight added a two-run homerun.
Kelley suffered the loss. She gave up 11 runs on 16 hits with one walk. Bell went one inning and had two strikeouts and two walks.
