The 2025 season came to a close for East Central Community College's men's tennis team with a 5-0 loss to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Region 23 Men's Tennis Tournament.
Gulf Coast came out strong in doubles play, sweeping all three matchups to take the early advantage. The No. 3 team of Jordan Mitchell and Connor Hartfield defeated East Central's Tate Baucum and Thomas Sumrall. At No. 2, Gonzalo Cotter and Ryland Buford posted an 8-1 victory over Cade Cooley and Luis Alejandro Rios Hernandez. In the top spot, Vicente Faria and Moritz Stroebel downed Jeronimo Arango-Restrepo and Josh Cooper, 8-2.
In singles, the Bulldogs continued their momentum. Easton van Norden claimed a win over Sumrall at No. 6, and Nick Dulaney clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 result over Cooley at No. 5.
