RIDGELAND --- The No. 4 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 6-0 on the season with a 3-0 win over Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in MACCC play here Tuesday.
The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Hinds on Friday at 5 p.m. in MACCC play.
Holmes went up 1-0 on a goal from Jaycelyn Russ on an assist from Jaelyn Hansen in the 8th minute. Brianna Lopez scored on a penalty kick in the 38th minute and Josephine Pittman blasted one from deep to put Holmes up 3-0 at halftime.
Neither team was able to score in the second half.
