Sunday's MACCC softball doubleheader against the Northwest Lady Rangers has been postponed due to Northwest entering COVID-19 protocol.

The games, which had been previously rescheduled, will now be pushed back to later in the year. The 2021 season has built-in make-up dates in place and the new date and time will be announced when it becomes available. Fans are encouraged to continuously check www.ecccathletics.com and follow all social media accounts by searching ECCCAthletics for the latest updates on schedule changes.

"Our main priority at ECCC remains the health and safety of our student-athletes," said ECCC Director of Athletics Paul Nixon. "Dr. Gregory (ECCC President) and the rest of our administration have been very adamant about continuing our COVID-19 protocols and control measures around the college throughout this semester so we completely understand and support this decision from the MACCC."

This schedule change only affects this Sunday's contests, so the Lady Warriors will now turn their attention to Meridian, who travels to Decatur on Wednesday, April 14 for a doubleheader slated for 4 and 6 p.m.
