Bulldogs and Trojans split DH in Vicksburg

VICKSBURG --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here at Sports Force Park in Vicksburg Wednesday with Mississippi Delta Community College falling 6-2 in game one and winning game two 3-2.

Holmes will play Pearl River at 2/5 on Saturday back at Sports Force Park in Vicksburg.

In game one, Eric Gibbs got the start and went four innings and gave up four runs on three hits with four strikeouts and five walks and suffered the loss. Heath McBride went four innings and gave up two runs on six hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Justin Jenkins went one inning and gave up two hits with onewalk.

Parker Knight had a double.

In game two, Brody Wilkins got the start. He went one inning and gave up one hit with one strikeout. Blayze Boyd went one inning and gave up one run on two hits. Jake McKay picked up the win and went 3 2/3 innings and gave up one run on two hits with two strikeouts. Abbott Hankins picked up the save in 1 1/3 innings. He gave up one hit with one strikeout.

Hankins, Cole Drake, Reese Smith, Ethan Parmegiani and Knight each had one hit.
