Lady Bulldogs fall twice at Jackson State CC

JACKSON, Tenn. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs fell twice here Tuesday versus Jackson State Community College, 8-7 in eight innings and 7-3

Holmes will play Lansing on Thursday in Goodman before opening MACCC play at Jones on Sunday.

In game one, Elleigh Willis got the start and went five innings. Kasandra Gaona went 2.1 innings and suffered the loss in the eighth. Willis gave up five runs on 10 hits with three strikeouts and three walks while Gaona gave up three runs on four hits with three strikeouts and one walk. Lanie Phillips had three hits while Iris Farve added two. Neera Bell and LaCristia Edwards had a double.

In game two, Emmagail Kelley went six innings and gave up seven runs on 11 hits with three strikeouts and one walk. AnnaLeigh Jones had three hits including a double while Leah Kinard had two hits with a double.
