Lady Bulldogs take two from Coahoma, 17-1 and 13-0

CLARKSDALE --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs took two games here Tuesday from the Coahoma Community College Lady Tigers, 17-1 and 13-0.

Holmes plays Hinds Community College on Friday at 2/4 p.m.

In game one, Elleigh Willis went 3 2/3 innings and gave up one run on three hits with five strikeouts and one walk picking up the win. Chesney Beckham pitched 1 1/3 innings. Iris Farve led with three hits while Katelynn Gipson, Neera Bell, LaCristia Edwards and McKayla Crowley each had two hits each. Farve had two doubles while Gipson had one and Edwards added a triple.

In game two, Emmagail Kelley got the start and picked up the win. She went two innings and gave up two hits with one strikeout and three walks. Bell went three innings and gave up three hits with five strikeouts. Leah Kinard and Farve each had three hits while Willis, AnnaLeigh Jones, Bell and Edwards each had two hits. Farve had a three-run homerun and a double while Bell had two doubles and Kinard, Jones had one.
