Lady Wolves Drop Road Game Against Holmes
GOODMAN – The Co-Lin Women's Basketball team hit the road to face off against Holmes on Monday, November 11. The Lady Wolves came up short against the Lady Bulldogs, 80-71.
"Holmes dominated us on the glass, which gave them multiple second chance scoring opportunities that ultimately proved costly to us," stated Co-Lin head coach Dr. Britta Stephens. "Once again, we turned the ball over too much. I was very proud of our fight throughout the game though. We got down big and were able to claw our way back into the game."
The teams battled throughout the first quarter, but the Lady Bulldogs held a slim lead, 22-18, over the Lady Wolves at the end of play. The Lady Wolves continued to try and erase the deficit, but once again the Lady Bulldogs won the quarter by outscoring the Lady Wolves, 15-12, to hold a 37-30 advantage as the teams entered the locker rooms at halftime.
The second half saw the Lady Bulldogs outscore the Lady Wolves, 22-15, in the third quarter to push their lead to 59-45.
