MOORHEAD – The Mississippi Delta Community College women's basketball program put together a valiant effort at home on Monday night versus Northwest Mississippi Community College, but came up just short in a 77-74 loss.
Rodericka Parker (Selma, Ala.) had a huge night for the Trojans in the narrow defeat, as the freshman point guard had 21 points and nine rebounds to lead MDCC.
Antanisha Wade (Cleveland) chipped in with 11 points for her second straight double-digit effort.
Delta was off from conference play on Thursday, Feb. 4, as the Trojans had the bye in Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) play.
MDCC (0-5) will now travel to Scooba to take on East Mississippi Community College at 6 p.m. on Thursday evening. The game can be found live on the EMCC homepage at www.emccathletics.com
