Bio

Steve Burgess was raised in a large family in Greenville, Mississippi, where he began to play football in elementary school. He continued to play the game he loved through high school. Coach Jim Randall recruited him to play for the MDJC Trojans following his graduation from Washington School. He played for two years as MDJC quarterback, and they were successful in winning back to back state championships in 1972- 73 and 1973-74. After attending MDJC, Burgess attended Mississippi State University and studied Forestry. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda, and they enjoy spending time with their two wonderful grown children and two grandchildren.
