Jackson, Miss. (MACCCAthletics.com) -- The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Football Players of the Week have been named following breakout performances in last week’s games.

The selections are made by a 15-member panel. This week’s awardees are:

Sakyia White, Jones College (Fr, F - Tuscaloosa, Ala., 22) Sakyia White, a 6-foot-1 freshman forward. from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, had another excellent week with two double-doubles. In a 92-42 win over Hinds, she had 23 points and 14 rebounds. In a 68-59 loss at Itawamba, she had 16 points and 17 rebounds. She averaged 19.5 points and 15.5 rebounds per game for the week.

Jalen Myers, Hinds Community College (So, F - Madison, Alabama, 5) Sophomore foward Jalen Myers was a dominant force in the Bulldog's 2-0 week with wins over Jones and Mississippi Delta. The Madison, Alabama native recorded a 20 point, 22 rebound and 10 assist triple-double in the 93-90 OT win over Jones. Myers also recorded an 18 point, 15 rebound double-double in the 100-71 win at Mississippi Delta.
