Pearl River rodeo kicking off new year Thursday night
POPLARVILLE, Miss. — A season removed from sending six athletes to the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo., the Pearl River rodeo team is gearing up to get another season started on Thursday at the Missouri Valley Rodeo in Marshall, Mo.
"It got here really fast," head coach Frank Graves said. "I think it's going to be a really good year. I feel like I have a really good group that is looking forward to getting started. It won't be long before we look up, and half the year will be past us."
Hinds Basketball Set to Host 2024 Tipoff Dinner on October 17
RAYMOND, Miss. – The Hinds Community College Men's and Women's basketball and Utica Cheer programs will host their first Annual Tipoff Dinner at 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 17th, at JD Boyd Gymnasium on the Utica Campus.
Hinds Community College Director of Athletics Nathan Werremeyer will have some opening remarks to kick off the program, followed by Hinds Community College Foundation Executive Director Matt Jones, who will serve as the emcee for the event.
Meridian Community College Eagles Golf Team Clinches Victory at MACCC Region Preview Tournament
TUNICA – The Meridian Community College Eagles golf team soared to victory at the MACCC Region Preview tournament held at Tunica National Golf Club, securing an impressive 18-stroke win over their competition. After having a narrow two-stroke lead on Day 1, the Eagles dominated on Day 2, extending their lead and finishing well ahead of the second-place East Central Community College Warriors.

Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer and tennis.
