Jackson, Miss. (MACCCAthletics.com) -- The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Baseball and Softball Players of the Week have been named following breakout performances in last week's games.
The selections are made by a 15-member panel. This week's awardees are:

Cera Blanchard, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., P - Metairie, Louisiana, 9)
Cera Blanchard was superb in the circle for the Lady Wolves en route to their first MACCC Softball Tournament Championship since 2009. The Metairie, Louisiana native made four starts and picked up four wins with three coming against nationally ranked opponents. The Southeastern Louisiana commit pitched 26 innings across her four starts with 21 strikeouts, three complete games, and a strikeout per seven innings pitched ratio of 5.65 while also positing a perfect fielding percentage.

Maddie Weeks, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(Fr., INF - Clinton, Mississippi, 8)
Maddie Weeks had a spectacular performance for the Lady Wolves en route to their first MACCC Softball Tournament Championship since 2009. The Clinton, Mississippi native posted a .571 batting average going 8-for-14 at the plate with five runs scored, three home runs, eight RBIs, one stolen base, and drew three walks. The freshman saved her best performances for the final two games of the tournament against Jones where she went 4-for-5 with three home runs, six RBIs, and drew two walks. Weeks also posted a perfect fielding percentage across the five games played and had an on-base percentage of .611 and slugged 1.214 during the tournament.

Connor Spencer, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(So, P - Hernando, Miss., 32)
When Northwest needed a closer to seal victories in games two and three at Meridian, sophomore Connor Spencer delivered. The Southeastern Louisiana signee tossed 0.2 innings with two crucial strikeouts to preserve a 13-10 Game 2 victory against the Eagles, before finishing out the final four innings of the deciding Game 3. In the Rangers' 14-11 extra-inning thriller, Spencer tossed six strikeouts and surrendered only one run against two hits, helping Northwest stun Meridian for the series victory.

Carson Gault, East Mississippi Community College
(Fr., C/INF - New Albany, MS, 36)
EMCC's Carson Gault made the most of his opportunity in helping lead the Lions to their playoff series win over East Central. The reserve catcher came into the series with only eight total at-bats to his credit on the season, but Gault responded in a huge way by slamming home runs in each of his first three plate appearances against the Warriors. He opened EMCC's seventh inning of game one with a pinch-hit homer and then capped the eight-run frame with a three-run blast. The next day in earning his first EMCC start, Gault homered in his first at-bat in game two for his third straight home run and finished the contest 2-for-4 with three runs scored. For the two playoff games against ECCC, Gault was 4-for-6 with three homers, five RBIs and five runs scored.
