Softball Pitcher
Emily Richarde, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., P - Lakeland, Tennessee, 17)
Emily Richarde was excellent in the circle for the Lady Wolves in their Region 23 opening game against Itawamba. The sophomore from Lakeland, Tennessee picked up her 19th win of the season with a complete game shutout allowing just two hits with three walks and seven strikeouts.
Softball Player
Marleigh Mancini, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(So, Outfielder - Cleveland, Miss., 28)
In the postseason, you never know who will step up on the biggest stage. For Northwest, it was sophomore Marleigh Mancini in the Rangers' 7-4 NJCAA Region 23 Tournament opening win against Northeast. After quietly piecing together a .319 batting average in the regular season, the Cleveland, Miss. native went 4-for-4 at the plate against the Tigers, including her first collegiate homer which was launched over the scoreboard in left-center. For the season, Mancini is now batting .355 with a .526 slugging percentage.
Baseball Pitcher
Andrew Marble, Jones College
(So, P/INF - Hurley, Miss., 0)
Marble tied a career-high with 7 IP, punching out seven with no walks, in a 10-1 G1 win over No. 9 East Central. It was his fifth quality start of the year.
Baseball Player
Reise Thomas, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., OF - Florence, Mississippi, 2)
Reise Thomas had an outstanding doubleheader in the Wolves sweep of the Eagles. The sophomore from Florence had four hits during the games including a three-RBI, bases-clearing triple in the 7-1 game one win. Thomas had a .571 batting average and on-base percentage as well as a 1.000 slugging percentage and a perfect fielding percentage.

Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer and tennis.
