Dimp Pernell, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound freshman guard from Horn Lake High School, averaged 26 points, 4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game as he helped Jones College go 2-1 during the first week of the season. He had 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in a 111-69 win over Gordon St. (GA). He had 26 points and 6 assists in an 88-73 win at ASU Mid-South. He 30 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals in an 83-79 loss to National Park College (AR).
Women's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Anna Kathryn Harrell, Northwest Mississippi Community College

Northwest goalkeeper Anna Kathryn Harrell was battle-tested in last weekend's NJCAA Region 23/Gulf District Tournament. In two matches against Holmes and Pearl River, the Tupelo native collected 11 saves and didn't allow a single goal, helping Northwest win its first Region 23 championship. Against Holmes, Harrell faced 15 total shots and collected nine saves, battling through a second half that featured an aggressive attack from Holmes. Against Pearl River, Harrell faced six shots, collecting two saves.
Women's Soccer - Offense
Mari Julia Delgado, Northwest Mississippi Community College

Northwest freshman Mari Julia Delgado came up big for the Lady Rangers during the weekend's Region 23 Championship tournament. In a 1-0 win against Holmes in the semifinals, Delgado scored the lone goal in the 15th minute, helping lift the Lady Rangers to victory. In Sunday's championship match against Pearl River, Delgado provided an assist during the 3-0 win for Northwest, as the Lady Rangers earned their first Region 23 title in program history.
Football Offensive Player
Charleston French, Itawamba Community College
(FR, RB - Amory, MS, 9)
Freshman running back Charleston French (Amory) rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns on 36 carries and had 1 catch for 11 yards (259 yards total offense) to help ICC pick up a 30-25 win over Coahoma. The Amory native's performance was the most rushing yards in a game since 2014. French is currently second in the country with 924 total yards rushing and 102.7 rushing yards per game and fifth in the nation with 8 rushing touchdowns.
Football Defensive Player
Billy Pullen, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., DL - Kaufman, Texas, 5)
Billy Pullen was a dominant force for the Wolves defense who had their first shutout of the season in the 13-0 win over Hinds. The sophomore defensive lineman led the defensive unit with seven total tackles including three tackles for loss totaling 26 yards with two sacks totaling a los of 23 yards. Billy is second in the NJCAA and leads the MACCC in sacks with 12.5 on the season.
Football Special Teams Player
Luke Jackson, Itawamba Community College
(SO, K - Bensalem, PA, 82)
Sophomore kicker Luke Jackson (Bensalem, PA) connected on all three field goal and extra point attempts for 12 points in the Indians' 30-25 win at Coahoma. Jackson connected on field goals of 29, 43, and 33 yards.
