Volleyball - Offense
Harmony Jackson, Jones College
(Fr, Pin - Oxford, Miss., 24)
Harmony Jackson, a freshman pin hitter from Lafayette High School, helped Jones College to a 4-0 week. She had 58 kills, 105 attempts, nine digs and was credited with 62 points as Jones beat Wallace St.-Selma, Snead St., Gadsden St. and Bevill St.
Volleyball - Defense
Bree Lyons, Itawamba Community College

Last week's Offensive Player of the Week, Bree Lyons stepped up her defensive game for the Indians last week. She had 52 digs with 5 blocks in5 matches in Tennessee.
Women's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Anna Kathryn Harrell, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(So, GK - Tupelo, Miss., 1)
Northwest sophomore goalkeeper Anna Kathryn Harrell battled through a 3-2 victory against No. 7 Heartland. The sophomore from Tupelo was heavily tested in the match, surrendering a penalty kick goal and a standard goal, which both came within a three-minute span. However, the bigger story from Harrell was her 10 saves against a stout Heartland offense, which helped keep Northwest within striking distance for the eventual victory.
Women's Soccer - Offense
Sherline King, Jones College
(Fr, MF - Panama City, Panama, 7)
Sherline King, a freshman forward/midfielder from Panama City, Panama, had quite a debut for No. 2 Jones College. King had two goals, three assists and finished with seven points as the Bobcats defeated No. 6 Northeast (Neb.) in the season opener.
Men's Soccer - Goalkeeper
David Ruiz Ospina, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(So, GK - Manizales, Colombia, 1)
David Ruiz Ospina, a sophomore from Manizales, Colombia, claimed a top-10 win over Heartland in a 2-1 victory at Senatobia. He made two saves to beat the No. 9-ranked team in a neutral-site game.
Men's Soccer - Offense
Tiago Honorio Jr., Pearl River Community College
(So, F - São Paulo, Brazil, 10)
Against incredible competition, Tiago Honorio Jr. (São Paulo, Brazil) put together a solid showing. The sophomore tallied two goals and a tro of assists in a 1-1 week against No. 16 Jones College and No. 3 Northeast.
Football - Offense
Landon Varnes, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(Fr, QB - Brandon, 2O)
Landon Varnes, a freshman quarterback from Brandon, made his first collegiate start a memorable one by leading No. 10 Mississippi Gulf Coast to a 38-24 win at No. 2 East Mississippi. He threw four touchdown passes and ran for another, completing 21 of 32 passes for 233 yards. The Bulldogs trailed by a touchdown in the fourth quarter before Varnes threw for one score and ran for the other.
Football - Defense
Brent Barnes, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., DB - Birmingham, Alabama, 7)
Brent Barnes had a big impact for the Wolves defense in their season opening 47-0 win over Coahoma. The sophomore defensive back had two fumble recoveries during the game scoring on one of the recoveries from 32 yards out while the other fumble recovery led to the Wolves second touchdown of the game.d
Football - Special Teams
Hayden Wolfe, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(Freshman, P/K - Clinton, Miss., 38)
Freshman kicker/punter Hayden Wolfe was one of the brightest spots in a 24-23 season-opening loss for Northwest. The Clinton, Miss. native went 2-for-2 in his first collegiate field goal attempts, converting a 27-yard attempt in the first quarter and a 52-yarder in the fourth quarter, which set a new school record for longest made field goal. Additionally, Wolfe punted five times for 231 yards, pinning four inside the 20-yard line while also having two punts go for 50+ yards, including a 60-yard attempt. Wolfe also kicked off three times for 171 yards and a touchback.
