Tylik Weeks, Alorian Story Pick Up First MACCC Basketball Honors

Women's Basketball
Alorian Story, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(Fr, F - Ripley, Miss., 35)
Alorian Story played a big role in a 2-0 weekend for the Northwest Lady Rangers. With wins against Shorter College and Baton Rouge in the Lady Bear Classic, the Ripley, Miss. native averaged 16.5 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game, scoring 21 against Shorter College and 12 against Baton Rouge.
Men's Basketball
Tylik Weeks, Southwest Mississippi Community College

Tylik Weeks had an outstanding opening week for the Bears who went 1-1. In Friday's heartbreaking 98-96 loss vs Tallahassee St, he had 32 points , 6 rebounds and 3 assists. In Saturday's 69-57 win over No. 10 Chipola College, he played another huge role with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 blocks. For the week he had 57 points, 15 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 blocks.
Women's Soccer - Offense
Frederikke Nielsen, Pearl River Community College

Frederikke Nielsen (Randers, Denmark) had a standout week for Pearl River, finishing with a trio of goals and two assists in a pair of matches.
Women's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Anna Kathryn Harrell, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(So, GK - Tupelo, Miss., 1)
Northwest sophomore goalkeeper Anna Kathryn Harrell posted her fifth shutout of the season in last Tuesday's 4-0 victory against Meridian. For the season, the Tupelo, Miss. native has 43 saves with just eight goals allowed for an .843 save percentage.
Men's Soccer - Offense
Oscar Tovar, Hinds Community College

Tovar finished the week with one goal in the win over East Central and grabbed an assist in the playoff victory over Itawamba.
Men's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Elliot Duffy, Hinds Community College
(Fr, N/A - Bedford, England, 1)
Duffy played a vital role in goal for the Eagles in the two wins this week. Duffy came up clutch in the win in the NJCAA Gulf South District match on Saturday vs Itawamba. He finished the week with nine saves, and allowed only two goals.
Football - Offense
Deantre Jackson, Jr., Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., RB - Marrero, Louisiana, 0)
Deantre Jackson, Jr., had a career performance in the Wolves win over the Tigers. The sophomore running back from Marrero, Louisiana carried the ball 12 times for a career-high 164 yards with three touchdowns which was also a career high. The 13.7 yards per attempt was also a career-high for Deantre.
Football - Defense
Kelten Mickell, Jones College
(So, DL - Collins, Miss., 90)
Kelton Mickell, a 6-foot-2, 298-pound sophomore defensive tackle from Petal High School, had an excellent game in Jones College's 16-10 win over Pearl River. Mickell had 10 tackles, 1.5 TFLs and a blocked kick for the Bobcats.
Football - Special Teams
Jackson Uselton, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(So., K - Hernando, Miss., 37)
Northwest kicker Jackson Uselton kickstarted the Rangers' rally in the second quarter of Friday's 43-10 victory at Itawamba. With ICC leading 10-0 midway through the second quarter, the Hernando, Miss. native nailed a field goal attempt that started a streak of 43 unanswered points for Northwest. Uselton also made all five of his PATs and finished with 116 yards on two kickoffs.
