Rangers Ride MACCC Football Title to Player of the Week Trifecta

Women's Basketball
Angel Wilkinson, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., G - Brookhaven, Mississippi, 12)
Angel "Cookie" Wilkinson had an outstanding week for the Lady Wolves as they went 1-1. The sophomore guard from Brookhaven started the week with a 23-point, five-rebound, and five-steal performance in the Lady Wolves 80-71 loss to Holmes. Wilkinson then had a career night against Delgado as she narrowly missed a triple-double in the 101-69 win with 31 points, 10 assists, and nine steals (all career-highs) while shooting 76.5% from the floor (13-17) and 60% from three. For the week she averaged 27 points per game, four rebounds per game, six assists per game, and seven steals per game.
Men's Basketball
Deven Bates, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(Fr., G - Jackson, Mississippi, 12)
Deven Bates had a solid week for the Wolves as they went 2-0. The freshman guard from Jackson started his week with an 18-point and three rebound performance against Baton Rouge Post Grad in a 107-84 win. Bates then followed up with a 30-point and four rebound performance in the Wolves 95-60 win over Delgado. For the week, Bates averaged 24 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, and two steals per game while shooting 57.6% from the floor.
Football - Offense
D'mariun Perteet, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(So., RB - Courtland, Miss., 6)
Northwest tailback D'mariun Perteet had yet another 100-yard rushing performance in the Rangers' 34-7 MACCC Championship victory at #7 East Central. The Courtland, Miss. native rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.
Football - Defense
Caulen Dunn, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(So., LB - Olive Branch, Miss., 30)
The Northwest defense was everywhere in Saturday's 34-7 MACCC Championship victory at East Central. Caulen Dunn was once again one of the pivotal pieces of the Rangers defense, as he picked up two tackles, a 59-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown and 0.5 tackles-for-loss.
Football - Special Teams
Hayden Wolfe, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(Fr., K/P - Clinton, Miss., 38)
Northwest kicker/punter Hayden Wolfe hit two field goals from 32 and 20 yards out, while also punting the ball five times for 194 yards. Two of his punts landed inside the 20-yard line, including one 53-yard punt.
