Women's Basketball
Taylor Johnson-Matthews, Pearl River Community College

Taylor Johnson-Matthews (Cleveland, Ohio; Charles F. Brush) continued her incredible season last week, averaging 23.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 2.5 assists and one block per game.
Men's Basketball
Dimp Pernell, Jones College
(Fr, G - Indianola, Miss., 2)
Dimp Pernell, a 6-foot-3 freshman guard from Horn Lake High School, had another excellent week for Jones College. He had 41 points and 18 rebounds and shot 58 percent from the floor in two Jones' wins. He had 19 points and 11 rebounds in an 87-59 win over Mississippi Gulf Coast. Pernell had 22, seven rebounds and seven steals in a 102-67 win at Northwest.
Softball
Lainee Bailey, Pearl River Community College
(So, RHP - Walker, La., 6)
Lainee Bailey (Walker, La.) had a remarkable PRCC debut last week, hitting .727 across four games. She had six extra-base hits, including two homers, two triples and two doubles. She picked up five RBIs and walked twice. Additionally, she struck out 17 batters in 11 innings pitched, picking up two wins.
Natalie Herrington, Pearl River Community College
(So, RHP - Petal, Miss., 2)
Natalie Herrington (Petal) had a stellar start to her season last week for the Wildcats. She threw a pair of complete-game shutouts, striking out 17 batters and allowing just four hits. She did not walk a single batter. She finished the week with a WHIP of just .33
Baseball
Dom Jackson, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(Fr, OF - Gulf Breeze, Fla., 12)
Dom Jackson, a freshman outfielder/designated hitter from Gulf Breeze, Fla., homered in each game of a 3-0 week for Gulf Coast. He batted .600 for the week with a .692 OBP and 1.600 slugging percentage. Jackson drove in nine runs.
Beau Bryans, Jones College
(So, P/OF - Madison, Miss., 22)
Beau Bryans, a sophomore left-hander from Madison Central, had an excellent performance on the mound in Jones College's 10-2 win over Southwest Tennessee. Bryans pitched 5.0 innings, allowed no runs, one hit, walked two and struck out 10. Bryans also batted .444 with a double and an RBI. Bryans has signed with the University of Alabama.
