Women's Basketball
Avery Young, Pearl River Community College
(So, G - Iota, La., 11)
Avery Young (Iota, La.) helped PRCC clinch a share of the 2023-24 MACCC title by scoring a career-high 36 points in a victory over Northeast. For the week, the averaged 23 points, 4.5 rebounds two steals and 1.5 assists.
Men's Basketball
Tylik Weeks, Southwest Mississippi Community College

Tylik Weeks had a big week for the Bears who went 1-2. The freshman from Queens, NY shot 28-of-48 from the field, 4-of-7 from 3-point range and 19-of-30 from the free throw line finishing with 79 points to go along with 22 rebounds, 2 steals and 5 blocks. He also scored a new career high with an incredible 39 points in the postseason loss against Meridian, just days after setting a previous career high of 34 points against Miss. Gulf Coast.
Softball
Caitlyn Carnathan, Northeast Mississippi Community College
(Sophomore, INF - Saltillo, Miss., 5)
Sophomore shortstop Caitlyn Carnathan had a solid week at the plate for 11th-ranked Northeast. She had multiple hits in all 4 games with a .733 batting average overall. Five of her 11 hits went for extra bases (four doubles & one homer) with 5 runs scored & 3 RBIs. She posted her first career four-hit performance in game one at Northwest-Shoals. She also had a three-hit game at Pearl River.
Lainee Bailey, Pearl River Community College
(So, RHP - Walker, La., 6)
Lainee Bailey (Walker, La.) had another solid week for PRCC in the circle, pitching in a pair of ranked matchups. She finished with 14.1 innings pitched and a 1.95 ERA. She struck out 22 batters against just three walks.
Baseball
Landon Waters, Meridian Community College
(Sophomore, UTL/RHP - Duck Hill, 3)
The sophomore pitcher started and defeated Holmes 13-0 with 10 strikeouts and came in relief and picked up the win over ICC 10-7 while recording 5 more strikeouts.
Blaise Priester, Meridian Community College
(Sophomore, C - Denham Springs, LA, 22)
The sophomore catcher led the Eagles to a 4-0 week hitting .545 with 2 home runs, 2 doubles, and 9 RBIs. The homeruns were the go-ahead homerun vs ICC and a Grandslam 1 inning later in the same game.
