Rangers Sweep Football Awards, Jakobe Singleton Picks Up Basketball Honors

Women's Basketball
D'Naylah Williams, Itawamba Community College
(SO, G/F - Kosciusko, MS, 5)
Sophomore D'Naylah Williams (Kosciusko) continued her hot start to the season by recording her third and fourth-straight double-double performance to help Itawamba improve to 4-0 on the season. She scored 12 points and collected 10 rebounds in a 75-34 win over ASU Mid-South. Williams had a career night to help Itawamba rally for a 78-65 win at Columbia State. She scored a career-best 26 points and grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds in the win.
Men's Basketball
Jakobe Singleton, Hinds Community College
(So, SG - Woodville, MS, 15)
Singleton played a vital role in the both games this week for the Bulldogs. Singleton had a break out performance against Itawamba scoring 37 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, went 11-16 from the field, was 60% from behind the arc, and shot 12-14 from the charity stripe.
Football - Offense
Zach Wilcke, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(R-So., QB - Hernando, Miss., 1)
Northwest quarterback Zach Wilcke had one of the best performances of his Ranger career in a 33-31 MACCC semifinal win against #5 Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Hernando, Miss. native and Southern Miss transfer finished 15-for-25 with 287 passing yards and four passing touchdowns.
Football - Defense
Caulen Dunn, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(R-So., LB - Olive Branch, Miss., 30)
Northwest linebacker Caulen Dunn was anywhere and everywhere in the Rangers' 33-31 victory against fifth-ranked Mississippi Gulf Coast in the MACCC Semifinals. Dunn, a native of Olive Branch, Miss., racked up a whopping 23 total tackles, one shy of a single-game program record. His 23 tackles are the most by any Ranger defender in a game since 1995. For the season, Dunn leads the team with 93 total tackles.
Football - Special Teams
M.J. Johnson, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(R-Fr., WR - Enterprise, Ala., 7)
M.J. Johnson had a big performance on special teams in Northwest's 33-31 victory against No. 5 Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Enterprise, Ala. native returned five kickoffs for 152 yards, including a 47-yard return. Though he did not score a kick return touchdown, Johnson's big returns helped set up two scoring drives for the Rangers, including the team's final scoring possession midway through the fourth quarter.
