Women's Basketball
Angel Wilkinson, Copiah-Lincoln Community College

Angel "Cookie" Wilkinson had a superb week for the Lady Wolves as she set a new career high twice while the Lady Wolves went 2-0 on the week. The sophomore guard started her week by setting a new career high in points with 33 along with six rebounds and five steals in the Lady Wolves win over Delgado. She then finished the week by resetting her career high with a single-game scoring record of 44 points along with three assists and four steals. For the week, Wilkinson averaged 38.5 points per game, four rebounds per game, 4.5 steals per game, and two assists per game.
Men's Basketball
Avery Thomas II, Jones College

Avery Thomas II, a 6-foot-7 freshman forward from Terry High School, averaged a 'double-double' for No. 15 Jones College last week. He averaged 23.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. In a 91-71 win over Mississippi Gulf Coast, he had 22 points and 7 rebounds. He had 25 points and 13 rebounds in a 90-83 win at Bishop State. He made 16-of-28 shots from the floor (57.1 percent), 4-of-8 from 3-point range (50 percent) and 11-of-12 free throws (92 percent).
