Gulf Coast's Laurel Conley Leads Talented Group of MACCC Player of the Week Honorees

Volleyball - Offense
Mamie Fromdahl, Jones College
(Fr, S - Mobile, Ala., 2)
Mamie Fromdahl, a freshman from McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile, Ala., had a strong showing to help Jones College go 5-1 during the week. She had 18 kills, 169 assists, 31 digs, six blocks and 11 aces.
Volleyball - Defense
Adelaide Egner, Jones College
(Fr, S - Olive Branch, Miss., 14)
Adelaide Egner, a freshman from Center Hill High School, helped Jones College to a 5-1 week. She had 21 sets played, 41 digs, 72 assists and 13 aces.
Women's Soccer - Offense
Emma Jensen, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(Fr, MF - Gammelby, Germany, 8)
Northwest freshman Emma Jensen scored four goals in two victories against nationally-ranked opponents. The Gammelby, Germany native totaled three of her four goals in last Tuesday's 5-1 victory against #20 Itawamba, while adding a penalty kick goal early in the second half at #4 Holmes, giving the Lady Rangers a 2-1 lead before the eventual 3-2 victory. Jensen leads the team in both scoring (11 goals) and assists (7), as Northwest is 12-0 on the season and 7-0 in the MACCC.
Women's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Laurel Conley, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(Fr, GK - Ocean Springs, 0)
Laurel Conley, a freshman from Ocean Springs, picked up a pair of wins for Gulf Coast. She stopped one shot in a 2-1 win at Meridian, then had eight saves to beat No. 11 Pearl River 3-1.
Men's Soccer - Offense
Tiago Honorio Jr., Pearl River Community College
(So, F - São Paulo, Brazil, 10)
Tiago Honorio Jr. (São Paulo, Brazil) set a Pearl River record by scoring six goals in a single match against East Mississippi. Most impressively, he did the damage in just 24 minutes of action.
Men's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Jacob Little, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(So, GK - Hernando, Miss., 00)
Northwest goalkeeper Jacob Little totaled 20 saves in two matches this week, resulting in a draw against Itawamba and a victory at Holmes. The Hernando native posted his first shutout in the 2-0 win at Holmes, while finishing with nine saves. Earlier in the week, he stopped 11 shots and allowed two goals in the 2-2 draw against Itawamba. For the season, Little now has a single-season record of 123 saves.
Football - Offense
Ian Gonzalez, Pearl River Community College
(Fr, QB - Mexico City, Mexico, 17)
Ian Gonzalez (Mexico City, Mexico; St. Stanislaus) shined in his first career start against Copiah-Lincoln. The freshman racked up 238 yards rushing and a touchdown on 32 carries. The 238 yards were the second-most in a game in PRCC history. He also went 8-for-17 through the air for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Football - Defense
Rj Hall, Hinds Community College
(Fr, DB - Terry, MS, 21)
RJ Hall played a vital role in the victory over #12 Jones College on Thursday night in Raymond. Hall finished the contest with seven total tackles, one sack, two TFL, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup.
Football - Special Teams
Eli Burciaga, Itawamba Community College
(FR, K - Corinth, MS, 82)
Freshman kicker Eli Burciaga (Corinth) continued his impressive freshman campaign by going 3-for-3 on field goals, making kicks of 44, 27, and 22 yards, while connecting on 4-of-4 on extra point attempts to account for 13 points in the Indians' 37-14 win at Coahoma.
