Bobcats Sweep Volleyball Awards, Isaiah Roberts Picks Up Special Teams Honors

Volleyball - Offense
Harmony Jackson, Jones College
(Fr, Pin - Oxford, Miss., 24)
Harmony Jackson helped Jones to a 5-1 week in the Alabama/Mississippi Crossover Tournament at Wallace State-Hanceville with a team-best 93 kills. She added 16 digs and nine blocks.
Volleyball - Defense
Emily Boudreaux, Jones College
(So, DS - Covington, La., 5)
Sophomore Emily Boudreaux had over a third of Jones' digs in a 5-1 week in Hanceville. She finished with 108 digs, 25 assists and six service aces.
Women's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Laurel Conley, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(Fr, GK - Ocean Springs, 0)
Laurel Conley, a freshman from Ocean Springs, stopped four shots to record a shutout in a 3-0 win over Pensacola State. She's played in three college game and recorded three shutouts.
Women's Soccer - Offense
Gabby Venable, Southwest Mississippi Community College
(So., MF - Pass Christian, MS, 2)
Gabby Venable had a huge week for the Lady Bears. In Tuesday's 13-0 win at Tougaloo, the sophomore from Pass Christian recorded two goals and two assists. She followed that up with two additional goals, both of which came in the first half of Friday's 2-2 tie against Pensacola St.
Men's Soccer - Goalkeeper
David Ruiz Ospina, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(So, GK - Manizales, Colombia, 1)
David Ruiz Ospina, a sophomore from Manizales, Colombia, got another shutout and another win against a top-20 opponent. He stopped all four shots in a 3-0 win at East Central, and he had two saves to be No. 19 Mineral Area 2-1.
Men's Soccer - Offense
Cody Barnett, Hinds Community College
(Fr, RF/ST - Clinton, MS, 8))
Barnett has been an offensive machine for the past two weeks. In the match against Itawamba Cody scored a Hat Trick in the 5-1 win in Fulton. On the season, Cody has scored eight goals in four matches so far during the season.
Football - Offense
Caden Greer, Northeast Mississippi Community College
(Freshman, QB - Kosciusko, Miss., 7)
Caden Greer led a 28-point fourth quarter comeback for the Tigers in his first career collegiate start. He went 11 of 19 through the air for 215 yards with 3 touchdowns to lead Northeast to a 49-30 win over Southwest. He also added 16 rushing yards on 6 carries. Greer had touchdown passes of 79, 6 and 50 yards.
Football - Defense
Dandreyus Giles, Holmes Community College
(Sophomore, DB - Lexington, Miss., 2)
Giles picked up 10 tackles (7 solos) and had INT return for a 30 yard touchdown. This is his second INT for a TD and third on the season.
Football - Special Teams
Isaiah Roberts, Jones College
(Fr, WR - Pompano Beach, Fla., 22)
Henry Roberts, a freshman wide receiver from Pompano Beach, Fla., had two crucial punt returns to help No. 11 Jones College defeat Coahoma, 31-16. With Jones leading 22-16 midway through the fourth quarter, Roberts returned a punt 24 yards to set up a field goal and give the Bobcats a 25-16 lead. After forcing a three and out, Roberts returned the next punt 61 yards for a touchdown. He averaged 27.8 yards on four punt returns and averaged 24.0 yards on three kickoff returns. He also had one pass reception for seven yards.
