Volleyball - Offense
Irby Norris, Northeast Mississippi Community College
(Sophomore, OH - Hernando, Miss., 19)
Irby Norris had double-digit kills in all four matches for Northeast last week. That includes a career-high 23 kills and a solid .259 hitting percentage in a thrilling five-set win over Meridian. For the week, Norris totaled 60 kills for an average of 15 kills per match. She also had five block assists on the week to bring her total up to 3.9 points per set.
Volleyball - Defense
Emily Boudreaux, Jones College
(So, DS - Covington, La., 5)
Emily Boudreaux, a sophomore DS from Covington, La., had a solid week as Jones College beat Northwest 3-1 and Pearl River, 3-0. She had 49 digs, nine assists and two aces in the two Bobcat victories
Women's Soccer - Offense
Sherline King, Jones College
(Fr, MF - Panama City, Panama, 7)
Sherline King, a freshman from Panama City, Panama, scored all four goals in No. 7 Jones College's 4-2 victory over Meridian. It was the only game of the week for the Bobcats. King has 19 goals on the season which leads the MACCC and is tied for 11th nationally.
Women's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Annabelle Holman, Itawamba Community College
(FR, GK - Amory, MS, 30)
Keeper Annabelle Holman (Amory, MS) continued her stellar freshman season by recording her 7th shutout of the season after recording 3 saves in Itawamba's 2-0 win over Southwest.
Men's Soccer - Offense
Niclas Schulze, Itawamba Community College
(FR, S/M - Hoersholm, Denmark , 28)
Freshman striker Niclas Schulze (Hoersholm, Denmark) had a pair of goals in Itawamba's 5-0 win over Southwest.
Men's Soccer - Goalkeeper
David Ruiz Ospina, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(So, GK - Manizales, Colombia, 1)
David Ruiz Ospina, a sophomore from Manizales, Colombia, had five saves to record a 1-0 shutout of No. 15 Hinds.
Football - Offense
Kabe Barnett, Pearl River Community College
(R-So, QB - Hattiesburg, Miss., 2)
Kabe Barnett (Hattiesburg; Oak Grove) led Pearl River to its first victory over East Mississippi since 2008 with an incredible showing at the quarterback position. He completed 15 of 24 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns while running for 73 yards and a score. In total, he had 309 yards and three touchdowns without any turnovers. He threw a game-winning 42-yard touchdown pass with just over a minute left in the contest.
Football - Defense
Vinay Singh, Southwest Mississippi Community College
(So., S - Lafayette, AL, 10)
A week after making the switch from linebacker to safety, sophomore Vinay Singh made his presence known in a big way in Saturday's 34-20 win over Hinds on Homecoming. Singh snagged an incredible three interceptions on the evening while also finishing with five tackles.
Football - Special Teams
Dan Lindsay, Holmes Community College
(Sophomore, K - Kosciusko, Miss., 86)
Lindsay hit the game winning field goal with one second to play. He was 2-of-2 on field goals and 3-of-3 on PATs. He also handled kickoff duties for the Bulldogs.
